ACRIN, ECOG, NCI intent to merge their clinical cancer tumor research programs The American University of Radiology’s Imaging Network and the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group , National Cancer Institute Clinical Trials Cooperative Group members, today announced their intent to merge their clinical cancer research programs. The combined groups intend to form an alliance that combines their complementary strengths. The new organization will include three areas of analysis emphasis: early recognition and diagnosis of cancers; biomarker-driven Phase Phase and II III therapeutic studies for multiple cancer types and stages; and genetic, imaging and molecular marker study to predict and monitor treatment response read .
